Free account
A free account to write to the newsroom
To send us news, an incident or an event, sign in. The account is free, it will stay free, and it serves one purpose only: knowing who is writing to us.
Already have a reader account? That is enough, sign in.
What you will be able to send
- News: what is happening near you.
- An incident: accident, fire, emergency services on site.
- An event: flea market, concert, festival, match, with its dates and venue.
- Photos, and the exact location placed on a map.
Why an account
Before publishing, a journalist checks. They must be able to contact you again and know that the information comes from a real person. An address confirmed by email guarantees it.
Free, no strings attached
No subscription, no paid option. Creating the account takes two minutes.
Your name stays private if you wish
Tick "Do not show my name under the article": the newsroom knows who wrote, the public does not see it. Only the newsroom sees your contact details.
How it works
- 1 You create your account: first name, last name, email address, password.
- 2 You click the link received by email to confirm your address.
- 3 You come straight back to this form and send.
- 4 You follow the newsroom's answer in My account, under "My contributions".
Nothing is published without being read and approved by a member of the newsroom.
