The AubeActu app for Android

What the app does

• The feed, sections, your towns, what’s on and the flea markets — no account, no ads.

• Official alerts and new articles from your towns, as notifications. Adjustable by type and by town.

• Articles you have read stay readable in a tunnel, on a train or in a cellar.

• Send a tip to the newsroom in three screens, photos and videos included. A free account is enough, and a person reads every tip.

• The newsroom finds its dashboard, the validation queue and the day’s drafts there.

• No third-party notification service, no Google map, no advertising tracker. The app talks to the site, and to nothing else.

How to install it

   Tap the download button: your browser saves the file.

   Open the downloaded file. Android asks permission to install an app that does not come from the Play Store: that is expected, the app is not published there yet.

   Grant your browser the “Install unknown apps” permission, then go back to the file.

   Installation takes a few seconds. The app opens on today’s front page.

The app asks permission to show notifications on first launch. You may refuse: everything else keeps working.

Who signs this app

The package is signed with AubeActu’s key. Android refuses to install an update signed by another key: that is what guarantees the next version really comes from us.

On Google Play

The app is not on Google Play yet. It will be once the developer account is open; until then, the file above is the only official version.
